BioInItaly Investment Forum 2017 & Intesa Sanpaolo Start-Up Initiative

Assobiotec and Intesa Sanpaolo organized the 2017 edition of StartUp Initiative / BioInItaly Investment Forum, which took place on March 29 and 30 at the Intesa Sanpaolo Conference Room, Piazza Belgioioso 1, Milan.

Since 2008 BioInItaly has been the reference investment forum for innovation in biotechnology and life sciences in Italy. The 2017 edition is organized in partnership with Fondazione Filarete,

Assobiomedica, Innovhub, Novartis Oncology and Bird & Bird.

The Intesa Sanpaolo StartUp Initiative is an international acceleration platform which selects promising high-tech startups, coaches them and connects them with financial and corporate investors. Since its inception in 2009, the program has developed a strong track record: 95 investment forums in 6 countries (IT, UK, US, FR, DE, IL) across 9 technologies and industries (Digital & Mobile; Cleantech; Biotech & Healthcare; Nanotech & Materials; Social Ventures; Agri-Food; Fashion & Design; Automotive & Transportation; Building & Construction), matching over 1000 startups and growing companies with about 8000 investors, corporations and players of the innovation ecosystem. StartUp Initiative alumni have collectively raised over 100 M€.

During the two days, 15 finalist StartUps selected by a panel of international coaches and experts presented their projects to investors, corporations and operators of the innovation ecosystem.

The March 29th day was dedicated to Red, Green and White Biotechnologies with 7 finalist StartUps pitching their projects.

March 30 was devoted to Health, Medical Devices, and Health Electronics, with the presentation of 8 finalist StartUp projects, including NG Detectors

BioInItaly Investment Forum 2017 & Intesa Sanpaolo Start-Up Initiative

Assobiotec e Intesa Sanpaolo hanno dato vita all’edizione 2017 della
StartUp Initiative / BioInItaly Investment Forum che si è tenuta lo scorso 29 e 30 marzo presso la Sala Convegni di Intesa Sanpaolo, Piazza Belgioioso 1, Milano. 


BioInItaly è dal 2008 l’investment forum di riferimento per l’innovazione nelle biotecnologie e life sciences in Italia. L’edizione 2017 è organizzata in partnership con Fondazione Filarete, Assobiomedica, Innovhub, Novartis Oncology e Bird & Bird.

Intesa Sanpaolo Start-Up Initiative è una piattaforma internazionale di accelerazione che seleziona promettenti start-up high-tech, li allena e li connette con gli investitori finanziari ed industriali. Sin dal suo inizio nel 2009, il programma ha sviluppato un record di successo: 95 forum d’investimento in 6 paesi (Italia, Regno Unito, Stati Uniti, Francia, Germania, Israele) in 9 tecnologie e settori industriali (Digital & Mobile, Cleantech, Biotech & Healthcare, Nanotech & Materials, Social Ventures, Agri-Food, Fashion & Design, Automotive & Transportation, Building & Construction), mettendo in contattopiù di 1000 startup e aziende in crescita con circa 8000 investitori, aziende ed operatori dell’ecosistema dell’innovazione. I partecipanti selezionati da Iniziativa StartUp hanno raccolto complessivamente oltre 100 M €.


Nel corso delle due giornate
15 startup finaliste selezionate da un panel di coach ed esperti di livello internazionale hanno presentato i loro progetti a investitori, aziende e operatori dell’ecosistema dell’innovazione.

La giornata del 29 Marzo era dedicata a Red, Green e White Biotechnologies con il pitch di 7 StartUp.finaliste.

Il 30 Marzo invece è stato dedicato all’Healthcare, Medical Devices, E-Health, con la presentazione dei progetti di 8 StartUp finaliste, inclusa NG Detectors.
